Letter to Marvin from his son, Marvin Jr., age 13:
My Dad is the Greatest
Marvin L. Charles Sr., A man who loves his children dearly. Only caring that his children live a good life. My dad is the greatest for three reasons. One, he’s always thinking of his kids not even really of him self as much. The second is he’s always giving. Like at night when we watch a movie he’ll go by us some snacks for the movie to be more enjoyable. I remember one time we were watching a movie and he came back with Hostess cup cakes for us. And last, he won’t leave my side and he’s proven that to me time and time again. Another thing about my dad is he loves to go to the lake like one day during the summer we all went to the lake and went fishing and swimming at Lake Washington. I am glad my dad has time for me I am truly a bless child to have a father like him. Speaking of being blessed. Did I mention my father is a Minister and he’s starting his own business? To help other fathers be in their kid’s life, so other children can be blessed like me. Then be able to talk about, write about, and live the way I do with my father. My father loves me and I love him to. I can only hope to be the man he is and treat my kids the way he does.
