Help with Child Support Help with a Parenting Plan Navigating legal & relational barriers Connecting with other Fathers Becoming Dads Course Support Groups Case Management Providing one-on-one case advocacy. This includes assistance with referrals to gaining housing, legal research assistance, drug rehabilitation and pre-employment services. Child Support Guidance and assistance for fathers who are in arrears on their child support obligations. Fathers learn how to obtain affordable terms for their payments, which helps both the fathers and the children. DADS counseling and assistance increases the amount of money going into Child Support from their clients, and helps father get on a solid financial footing. Document Preparation Helping prepare, complete and print necessary official documents to receive services and legal status. Family Reunification Helping fathers reunite with their children and families. By organizing parenting plans, parents are able to establish a balance of involvement and visiting. Parenting Classes Our quarterly parenting classes help fathers increase their capacities to communicate with their children and to develop stronger parent-child relationships. Parenting Plan Assistance Making a clear plan for the steps needed to have access to children and family, to support standardization of legal process requirements recognized by courts. While fatherlessness has many devastating effects and symptoms that cost society over 100 Billion/ year , we would invite interns to join us in apprenticing around a model that has proven successful in addressing the problem of fatherlessness at the root.
